| MEDICAL DRAGON IS TRAINING HIS BATISTA TECHNIQUE.
BY... BY... STANDING SHIRTLESS ON THE ROOF... AND LETTING SMOKE SWIRL ABOUT HIS NAKED BODY...
AND... DOING THE HAND MOTIONS OF SURGERY.
I... I am in love with this drama.

| All I have done tonight is watch IRYU: TEAM MEDICAL DRAGON. God, it's such crack. Even my mother, who happened to come into the room while I was entranced by episode 3, had to stop mid-whatever-she-was-doing and stare at Asada Sensei and comment on his hotness. Then she asked me if he was in that wuxia she and my dad were watching last week. My mother is always very confused. I suspect her brain classifies all actors/actresses into "good-looking" or "not good-looking", and that's how she remembers them, thereby making all good-looking ones the same person.
1. This hospital is totally run by commies.
2. Medical Dragon keeps getting into situations where he is required to stab someone in the torso with something sharp and/or pointy in order to save their lives. It's excellent. Especially in episode three when he jammed his finger into a hole he cut in a colleague's chest. And then electrocuted his heart. On the sidewalk. While bystanders - including said colleague's 7 yr old daughter - watched.
3. I kind of love the drunk anaesthetician who wanders about the hospital in a drug-induced stupor and can tell how much someone weighs just by looking at them. Also the Ballbusting Professor Lady who stole Medical Dragon for her ER department. I love her crazy evil smile.
Now onto episode four. | |

| lesbiassparrow, you HAVE to watch this. It's perfect. Here's a rundown of episode one. So many great things happen in this show. Episode one alone has two epic medical emergency moments! It's like someone took House MD, got rid of the screenwriters and hired trained monkeys to write the scripts instead, and then made it all... Japanese. That last factor alone guarantees a certain measure of bizarre awesomeness that only the Japanese can bring. Plus bogus medicine, the best crack of all. The show even does that cg graphic thing where it illustrates the symptoms/failing organs like in House. Only here it looks like human innards are made of plasticine. ( The Medical Dragon has ARRIVED. ) | |

| 1) Am I the only one who finds the poster for Maou really hilarious? Every time I see it on my flist I start laughing.
2) Code Blue episode one is out. I want to watch it but I am so lazy to download. Refer to #3.
3) I also want to watch beyond episode 1 of IRYU: TEAM MEDICAL DRAGON but I can't!!! My problem is I have all these dramas and shows on my hard drive in a million pieces but I can't join them because I don't have enough drive space.
4) I think I'll wait for Osen to be subbed completely before continuing with it. Again, this is indirectly because of #3.
5) Iguana no Musume: AGAIN, NOT ENOUGH DRIVE SPACE FOILS MY EVERY MOVE AND DESIRE. ANGST.
Don't you all wish, like I do, that dramas would be released in a more regular file size? Most american tv rips are on average 350mb an episode. I feel that is a decent enough size to maintain reasonable quality for something that is about 40 minutes long - which is approximately the length of one jdrama episode, anyway. I don't understaaaaand. Why the crazy need for 1~gig avi files? *grumbles*

| While browsing my lj filters, I came across an anime about libraries engaging in military battle. ... YES. I had to download it. It was called LIBRARY WAR. And it was AWESOME. Combat librarians!!! Defending freedom of speech and the press! Fighting against an oppressive government and its censoring factions! Fun, likeable, strong heroine! A really adorable OTP! But above all ARMED LIBRARIANS DEFENDING BOOKS. "At the dawn of the Seika era, in order to regulate unwanted messages that presented a bad influence to society, the Media Cleansing Act was passed. The libraries armed themselves in order to protect freedom of expression from the extreme censorship of the Media Cleansing Committee. The conflict between the two continued to escalate. In the 31st year of Seika, a lone girl plunged herself into the middle of that conflict." There's something so entertaining in watching trained soldiers who are armed to the teeth and taking out snipers in one episode have to read to small children and shelve books in the next. | |

| Ok, so I've been having a few shitty days in a row. My laptop is pretty much useless right now. I got screwed over with spy ware and got so friggen frustrated that I reformatted...and that definitely wiped everything off my computer. And after reinstalling windows everything is all weird and looks like it's from 2002 and I just want to throw it out the window. I can't even get internet on it. KLSDFKLJWEHIOWEFGJKL! I hate the world. I know it's my fault, but I just wish I had my computer back. Dunno what I'm gonna do...using my dad's computer for now.
Also. Well, the 4th of July was pretty damn swell until night. Went to the beach with the family and ate picnic food and swam and tanned. Yaaay~~~. Then walked up to the parkway for the fireworks and I started feeling icky. I've had this feeling before, but it was much worse that night. It felt like my uvula(the hangy-ball thing in the back of your throat) was 5 times it's size. Like if I tilted my head forward I could feel it touch the top of my mouth and likewise if I tilted backwards. It just felt heavy and my throat felt numb. It wasn't constricting my breathing, though it felt like it was and the nervousness of 'what is wrong with me?' made me hyperventilate. So...emergency room it is! Spent about 3 hours there...and the diagnosis? Uh...some disease that starts with a Q that I can't pronounce. It's basically a virus, so I have to wait it out, but I got some meds for the swelling of the uvula. I'm just upset that I missed the fireworks. Once a year, man, once a year! Why, oh why couldn't this have come up after the grand finale and not a half hour before they started?
God...when one thing goes wrong so do five-million others. And sorry I haven't updated a lot, but I read my flist daily, so no worries there. :( ♥
Hopefully watching some drama(I saved them before formatting...I think I had a once track mind...don't do a full backup, just for goodness sakes save the dramas! Oh...and pictures. I saved my 'My Pictures' file...lol...that is an extensive collection of TVXQ goodness that could not be obliterated) and T concert will cheer me up. LeSiiigh.
ETA: I forgot one of the good things! I've been going to the gym a lot lately...and have actually lost weight(10 pounds so far...:D). Dude...who knew that exercise and eating healthy actually worked. *headdesk* I shall continue and prevail!!! ♥ - Mood:sick

| Everytime I go on youtube I inevitably find a way to watch this music video. It compels me for reasons unknown. I think its probably the stalk-dancing that does it for me.HE FOLLOWS HER AROUND ON HER DATES AND DANCES FROM A VISIBLE DISTANCE WHILST SINGING PLAINTIVELY! And his homies sit back and watch until the chorus comes around at which point they decide to help out with the backup stalk-dancing. But best of all are her looks of silent alarm whenever he shows up. She's just like "What's happening? Why are you dancing, you freak? Why does nobody else notice this? Where did my cute beret go?" | |

| Iryu - Team Medical Dragon, recommended to me by darkeyedwolf. ... the music is GLORIOUS. There are so many great things about the hero. Firstly, he lives in a shack on the beach. Secondly, there is a scar in the shape of a dragon on his back which I am sure is accompanied by a long and angsty past. Lastly, but not leastly, his sexual prowress is astounding. He is so good in the sack women thank him after they do it and he tells them to get the hell out of his shack!! And most importantly, no one told me Asami Mizukawa was in this!! eta: What the... no one told me Teppei Koike was in this!! Yes, I am totally convinced Teppei is old enough to be a doctor. They try with the glasses. Ok, an intern. I like the TwiddleDee/TwiddleDum nurses. | |

| The day of Canada! Rejoice!
What I like about our national holidays (the ones that involve fireworks) is how everyone goes about it so half-heartedly yet determinedly at the same time. People in my area love to set off fireworks, but not just on the day, no. We like to celebrate the day before, during the day, and the day after the day of the event. So it is a random measley stream of small fireworks every few minutes every night until July 3rd... when I was little my uncle used to tell me it was gunshots. He was such a good influence.

| I actually find Teacher/Student more taboo than incest. Possibly because incest is soooo played out across multiple mediums in asian forms of entertainment that I have become unaffected - nay, expectant! of incest plotlines somewhere down the road of any given program/story. Also, having never really had any sexually attractive teachers (with the exception of one english professor, who was attractive enough to make his texan accent swoonworthy), I can't really relate. Possibly because I can't see my younger self - or any teenager - actually viewing a teacher, someone so ancient (:P) as a person. They're just there to torture us and make us do calculus homework. Though the power imbalance is just as bad between college students/ professors, it doesn't seem as wrong to me since technically both parties can be considered consenting (if unethical) adults. I keep getting the urge lately to write HP fanfic: and not Harry/Ginny either, but a long, post-DH Ron-fic. Whaaaaat? I also have to wonder why whenever I think of Ron and fic I also think "with babies! lots of babies!". Actually I have at least three or four post-DH H/G fics on hand that I've never finished. Perhaps I should just finish those, post them, and retire from the fandom. I'll always think fondly of it as it is my first love but I can't imagine being active again. biconic is 2 members away from 200. I feel I should do something to celebrate but I don't know what. | |

| Hey! I wanted to clean up all of my sale posts (I delete them after a while to save room here) and this stuff is recuded even lower, some of it is half it's original price! so check it out! ( behind cut ) | |

| ... where they think most people have only read 6 of the books on this list on average. I've read 33 myself, not bad. 1) Look at the list and bold those you have read. 2) Italicize those you intend to read. 3) Underline the books you LOVE. | |

| I haven't updated in about a week, and not very much has happened since. There was a lot of reading and some Nabari no Ou watching and general laziness alternating with hard labour (8 hr days drilling vinyl siding onto the side of our house while perched precariously on ladders... not fun). I got a new mattress. Finally! I've needed a new one for months. My old one is all worn out and the springs were starting to really poke and hurt :/ But it's all good now. List of books: (* means I've finished reading it) The Jane Austen Book Club by Karen Joy Fowler * The Sweet Hereafter by Russel Banks* (re-read) I, Coriander by Sally Gardner* The Shipping News by Annie Proulx* The Ivy Chronicles by Karen Quinn* (some parts of this were truly cracked out) The Family Fortune by Laurie Horowitz (another Jane Austen retelling, this one's of Persuasion, one of my favourites) The Luxe by Anna Godbersen Helen Fielding novel with really long name I can't remember Will you recommend some good books to me? I'm not that picky about genre, but in general I like things that are well written, engaging, or funny. I'm OK with guilty-pleasure stuff, but nothing in the vein of Twilight (sorry Meyer fans), please. I don't often read romance novels (I mean, I read novels with romance in them, but rarely is it the main point), but if you know a good one I'm willing to try it. I'd enjoy a good mystery series, or maybe sci-fi/fantasy. LASTLY, this could be the "ultimate answer to those concerned about iPod theft". Yes, but then won't you have to explain why you have an ipod down your pants? | |

| Look, it's my second Chuck/Blair wallpaper! I just can't help it, I'm so in love with this pairing - I'd never think it was possible after a few first eps of the show but now, man. SO ADDICTIVE. 1152x864 | 1024x768
It was inspired by winter_baby's C/B icon, the one I'm currently using. I think it's the best C/B icon I've seen so far :) Plus a few icons that were hiding in my '100x100' folder for quite some time now: 01-03 Gossip Girl actors 04-00 How I Met Your Mother 05-00 Shia LaBeouf 06-00 Robrt Downey Jr (From A Guide to..., SUCH a good movie! And Shia! Seriously, go watch it) 07-08 Katy Perry ( 8 icons )
